in local DEV, all OK, generate report pdf.

QA Server get error about it C1Report + License

Hello Enrique,

The license dialog can appear for several different license errors and warnings, so a few things are worth checking:

Make sure a runtime license file (*.sa3licx) is embedded in the project before you build it.

Check whether the project name on your QA build differs from the project name that was used to generate the *.sa3licx file. The file ties the license to the project’s name, so if the names differ, generate a new one, embed it again, then clean and rebuild the project.

Confirm that a valid license is activated on the QA server. You can run the command “sa3client list --all” there to see which licenses are activated on that machine.

Additionally, please remove version specific details from each license entry in the licx file.

Remove: “, Version=4.8.20261.413, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=9b75583953471eea”

Please let us know what you find, and we will take it from there.

Hello Enrique,

On point 3: yes, the pipeline license also needs to be activated on the QA server. If QA, Pre and Pro share the same machine, a single activation should cover all of them. You can check which licenses are active by running “sa3client list --all” on that machine, and make sure the builds on QA picks up the activation. For activation details, please see this thread:

On removing the version details from the licx entries: if the assembly version used by the app differs from the one on the machine, license errors can appear. Removing the version, culture and public key token from each entry avoids this, so we suggested it to be safe.

Please also check the version numbers in your Web.config at these two locations:

→ configuration > system.web > httpHandlers > add path=“WijmoControlsResource.axd”

→ configuration > system.web > compilation > assemblies > add assembly=“C1.C1Report.4.8…”

The other details you shared look correct to us.

We checked and everything works as expected at our end. Could you please share the following information for further investigation?

Complete logs of your pipeline (include “sa3client list --all” command before building your project, so that we can see what licenses are active while building the app)

Enable SA3Client logs with the following command and share contents of the “C:\ProgramData\SA3\logs” directory with us.

Enable logs:

sa3client log --on

Since the requested details are sensitive, please open a private ticket and share details there.

Clarification:

0 - My dev machine has Developer license activated. And sa3licx in project.

1 - building my project in my dev machine , for publish the webapp using msbuild

2 - Later , I get zip the publish in my machine

3. Copy zip publish file to QA Web Server (to C:\inetpub\ … for sample)

4. QA WEb Server has pipeline license activated

5. In this case, I do it manually, NOT USE CICD server (neither pipelines)

where Enable SA3Client logs in my dev machine or QA web server ?

These log files are not application errors. They are ComponentOne (MESCIUS/GrapeCity) licensing traces for WinForms. There are 56 files, all generated on 22/10/2026 at 10:35 on machine xxxxxx. They appear to have been created during a build process or when opening a designer in Visual Studio.

By product

• C1P (2026.1.0.0): 10 files. The license shows State=e and Trial=False, so it appears to be a valid full license (C1P-6181-…-022).

• C1PJ (2026.1.0.0): 18 files, with no license data.

• C1S: 16 files. The license shows State=e and Trial=True, and expires on 29/10/2026, which is 7 days from now.

• C1SJ: 12 files, with no license data.

What this means

• There are no exceptions or error messages.

• C1S (probably C1.Win.C1Sizer or a related control) is running in trial mode. After 29/10, the evaluation dialog or watermark may start appearing, and builds may fail if the license is validated during the build process. It would be advisable to activate a full license or remove the dependency.

• The C1PJ and C1SJ files without license data are normal. They are auxiliary components.

• These files are generated in large numbers, typically one per license load operation. They do not require any action.

no viewer control available for C1FlexReport in the C1 WebForms suite

if you need to view reports, you will have to continue using C1Report with C1ReportViewer instead of upgrading to C1FlexReport.

However, please note that there is no viewer control available for C1FlexReport in the C1 WebForms suite. Therefore, if you need to view reports, you will have to continue using C1Report with C1ReportViewer instead of upgrading to C1FlexReport.
