  Back in February 2018, we purchased 3 licenses to use ComponentOne WPF Edition with our product and renewed subscription once in 2019:

  Question 1: Assuming each of the keys (2 Standard and 1 Premium) were only activated once, does it mean that each key can be activated 2 more times on different machines? I know that 2 of the keys were activated on machines which have been lost or reformatted and one of the keys has been used on my machine (but I can’t remember which one of the standard keys I used)

  Question 2: How can I tell which key I used?

  Question 3: How can I tell how many activations remain of each of the three keys?

  Hi Mark,

  1. A license key can be activated on up to three machines at the same time. Since one activation of each of your two keys is lost, you can still activate each key on two more machines.

  2. You can check which key is active on the machine only, using the C1LicenseDeactivation utility: https://developer.mescius.com/kb/check-if-a-license-is-active-for-uwp

  3. There’s no way to see how many activations are left for a key. If all activations are used, trying to activate the key will show a “limit exceeded” error.

  Question 4: If we try to activate a key and we get the limit exceeded error, but we can’t deactivate the key because the machines it was activated on are either lost or unknown. Is there any way we can use that key again?
