  I’m using a theme controller in a winforms environment. There’s a ribbon that I’d like to set a custom theme on. I’m able to choose all of the themes already loaded in the theme controller, but when I try to load a custom theme it gives me the following error.

  I’ve used a theme controller before and was able to load custom themes without any issue.

  Hello,

  I used the attached theme, added it to C1ThemeController’s themes’ list and used it as a theme for C1Ribbon (with 4.0.20182.314 builds), and it worked fine.
  
  Can you try using the same and let me know if the error comes up? If it doesn’t, kindly share your .c1themez file along with your system environment details. This will help me assist you further.

  Different error when adding your theme.

  

  just to make sure my versions were right I looked at everything. I need to stay on this version so that everyone else doesn’t need to update entire project. I’m going to try to recreate another theme and see if it helps

  Here are two themes I tried to use. The ESV6.c1themez was working a while ago and the Test_JUL i just made this morning. Just opened a pre-existing theme, made an edit and saved.

  Hello,

  Thank you for sharing your themes. However, I could observe no errors while using them (refer the attached sample).
  
  The theme I shared was created using 18v2 C1ThemeDesigner.exe.
  
  I have created a fresh theme “NewTheme.c1themez” with 4.0.20173.286 C1ThemeDesigner and used it in the attached sample. No issues were observed while using the same.
  
  Please use this theme at your end and let me know if the persists.
