    Hi C1,

I have a separate admin account on my machine, my regular user is no admin. When installing the new version, the samples path is “c:\Users\adminuser\Documents\ComponentOne Samples” by default.

This path is forbidden for my user. So I have to think about changing the samples path.

And I assume that if I pick a path in my own user profile, that files will still be owned by the admin account and thus be not writable. But I did not verify this.

I suggest to default to path to “C:\Users\Public\Documents\ComponentOne Samples”. Another library that we use uses this path.

What do you think about this suggestion?

    Best regards

    Wolfgang

    Hi,

As per the developers, As you already noticed, you can change the location to which the samples get installed from the settings and if the samples are installed to C:\Users\Public\Documents\ComponentOne Samples folder, then it will have the same permissions as the C:\Users\Public\Documents folder have.

    Regards.

I just wanted to suggest another default directory ;-). But if your developers prefer the current default, that is OK for me.

    Best regards

    Wolfgang
