We save a C1FlexGrid to excel. Since version .813, this results in a warning messagebox when opening the file:
(Translates to “We found a problem with some content in “file name”.xlsx” do you want us to try and recover as much as we can?")
This only happens for Office 2016 and Office 2019, but does not happen for current Office365.
See attached sample: it loads a C1FlexGrid from a xml file and saves it to excel as “bin\Debug\net10.0-windows\result.xlsx”.
FlexGridExcelCompatibility.zip
The issue does not happen with .796.
The zip file contains in “Debug\net10.0-windows” two files “result_796.xlsx” and “result_813.xlsx”, which were created on my machine and the 813 file should show the warning.
I compared the content of the xslx file, and it seems to be this snippet in “xl\worksheets\sheet1.xml”:
Version .796:
<sheetView showGridLines="0" tabSelected="1" workbookViewId="0">
<pane xSplit="1" ySplit="2" topLeftCell="B3" activePane="bottomRight" state="frozen"/>
<selection pane="topRight"/>
<selection pane="bottomLeft"/>
<selection pane="bottomRight" activeCell="A1" sqref="A1"/>
</sheetView>
Version .813:
<sheetView showGridLines="0" tabSelected="1" workbookViewId="0">
<pane xSplit="1" ySplit="2" topLeftCell="B3" activePane="bottomRight" state="frozen"/>
<selection sqref="A1"/>
<selection pane="bottomRight" sqref="B3"/>
</sheetView>
Copying the snippet from .796 to the .813 result makes the warning go away.
Do you have any idea? Is there a workaround?
Best regards
Wolfgang
