  Hello,

  We are using wj-auto-complete and just upgraded to C1Wijmo_5.20171.282.
  
  We noticed that there is a new behavior of the component:

  • User types a text that matches some of the items
  • If the user makes a mistake and types a character that doesn’t match any item - the text gets deleted… (didn’t happen in previous versions)
    
    Example:
    
    wj-auto-complete items are: Daniel, Jhon, Martin, Dan, Danna
    
    User types “Da” (matches some of the items)
    
    User has a mistake and adds ‘r’ (“Dar”), his text is highlighted and gets deleted on the next key press so he can’t fix his mistake

  Is there any way to change that behavior?
  
  In addition - is there a way to make the drop down button visible even if there are no items to select ?

  Hi,
  
  The behavior is by design if you set is-editable to false. This property does not allow to write item in input element of Control that is not in item list. You can increase delay between keystroke occur and when search is performed and get time for correct mistake.
  
  If isEditable property is not set to false, control allow to add item that is not in list & you can correct your mistake.

  is-editable=false

  shows drop down button always. But if this is set to true, there is no way for show drop down button always.

  For your reference, please see the attached sample that implements the same.

  Hi,

  isEditable allows me to write item that is not in the list but the problem here is slightly different…
  
  If i start to write item that exist in the list but then i make a typo - the text will be highlighted and deleted in the next key strike
  
  If isEditable is set to true, i would expect the control to allow me make this typo (and than fix it)

  To clarify - the control will allow me to write something that doesn’t exist only if there is no item with the same beginning…

  We are able to replicate issue and looks like a bug. Hence, this issue has been escalated to the concerned team with tracking id 255747.
