    Hi,

Would it be possible for you to provide a working example of TransposedFlexGrid used in combination with ImmutabilityProvider? Even the simplest example seems to crash for me, and the documentation on how to use ImmutabilityProvider is quite limited.

Any guidance or a minimal working example would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Thomas,

I am working on this case, it seems the Immutability provider is not compatible with the TransposedGrid. I will share an update soon and let you know if it is possible to use the current Immutability provider with the transposed grid.

    Hi Thomas,

The current ImmutabilityProvider is not designed to work with TransposedGrid, as the internal data structure of the TransposedGrid is different from usual FlexGrid. We have created an enhancement request to update the ImmutabilityProvider. The internal tracking ID for the request is WJM-36003. We will update you when we have an update from the engineering team on the same.

    Hi Vivek,

When can I expect any update/fix for this?

    Hi Thomas,

We have asked the engineering team to provide an ETA on this case. We will let you know when we have some information available.

    Hi Thomas,

Wijmo’s 5.20252.HOTFIX (version 5.20252.44) is now released, and the ImmutabilityProvider now supports TransposedGrid. Please refer to the following demo sample for the same - https://developer.mescius.com/wijmo/demos/Grid/Data-binding/ImmutableData/Redux/EditableReduxTransposedGrid/react

    Hi Vivek,

Do I see correctly that custom editors like DatePicker are not supported?

If so, is there a workaround or plans to support this in the future?

  • Posted 30 January 2026, 8:57 am EST

    Hi Thomas,

Your understanding is correct; custom editors are not yet supported in TransposedGrid. This feature request is already present in our product backlog. For now, it would not be possible to tell if or when this feature will be added, as this topic is still under discussion internally. However, I am investigating it further and looking for a workaround, if possible. I will share an update on the same soon.

    Hi Thomas,

You can handle the ‘formatItem’ event of the Transposed grid and manually insert the custom editors in the required cells. You can also use some custom CSS to style these custom editors to look like the default editor, as in FlexGrid. Please refer to the following sample demonstrating the same - https://stackblitz.com/edit/react-zf3zxptn?file=Hello.js

    HI Vivek,

I am looking for solution to use immutability provider with custom editors

  • Posted 2 February 2026, 7:36 am EST

    Hi Thomas,

You can follow a similar approach in the TransposedGrid with ImmutabilityProvider as well. Please refer to the following sample for a better understanding - https://jscodemine.mescius.io/share/M7ko0K4fpUCP_5N_JSEOyA/
