  We have a simple scatter plot that has a range on the y-axis that is from -365, 0, +365 (representing days in the year) but the customer wants the 0 line to be bold (to differentiate the positive vs. negative line)

  Where should we be looking to change that line weight?

  I would suggest you use Line Annotation.
