Hi,
I am using grid’s ‘build in’ dragging row by setting allow-dragging=“Rows”. While dragging the row the grid will not scroll when dragged row reaches the bottom. How to make the grid scroll?
Thank you,

Hi, is there a way to make grid scroll when dragging row UP, without coding my own handlers of the drag events. As I have mentioned in my first post I am using grid’s setting allow-dragging=“rows” to drag row headers. Any advise? Can it be done or not?
Thank you,

Hi,
We are sorry, there is no direct way for auto scrolling when row is dragging in FlexGrid. We have created an enhancement request for the same with tracking id 251399. It would be implemented in the future if found feasible.
However, you can accomplish this by handling drag event and scroll to in the FlexGrid manually using scrollIntoView method.
For reference, please see the attached sample that implements the same.
Thanks,

Manish, thank you for the response. It would be nice to have that feature ‘out of the box’ but your proposed solution will work as well. Thank you again for the sample.

Hello,
Is this issue fixed in wijmo? In my application there is a functionality for users to rank the records in grid by dragging and dropping the rows. Unfortunately this problem is affecting us badly since IE is the official browser supported by corporate and used by the clients. The grid doesn’t scroll in IE at all.
I tried the work around but it is very inconsistent and does not scroll always. Even if it scrolls it stops scroll down or up a few rows.
Could you please suggest why this is happening and any solution to help. It is urgent please since this has become a hot issue for the clients.
Regards.

Manish,
Thank you for the response and updated sample. I will try it out. We are currently on Wijmo build # 5.20161.154.
Do you think it would make a difference for this issue, if we upgrade to latest version?
Thanks,
Liju

HI,
This feature has been added and the fix will be included in the next release build. You may get the latest pre-release build for verifying issue from here:
http://prerelease.componentone.com/wijmo5/
You may disable this new functionality by setting the grid’s ‘autoScroll’ property to false.
