  Hi,

  I’m working with Wijmo FlexGrid in my dayjob and have been tasked with something that seems quite difficult: setting two line word wrapping for column headings (that overflow with ellipses only the second line).

  .wordWrap = true;

  applies the wj-wrap class with includes

  white-space: normal; text-overflow: clip

  , but this is overflowing many lines downwards, and creating ellipsis on each of those lines rather than just the last.

  Has anybody any experience in restricting word wrapping to a certain number of lines, or having text overflow occur only on the last line?

  Thanks for looking at this. I’m aware it’s a difficult thing to achieve, especially when factoring in support for older browser versions.

  I can achieve the functionality for chrome using advice in this post:

  However, finding something that also works on older browsers is proving very challenging.

  We are sorry for the late reply.

  The HTML does not support ellipsis with MultiLine text. And as previously mentioned, implementing this feature using javascript would be complicated and hacky. Hence, currently there is no plan for implementing this.
