If I create a read only custom name for a sheet in spread js and then export this sheet to Excel, will I be able to modify or delete it there? If yes, what is the purpose of this read only functionality for custom names?

    Hello,

Please note that when a sheet has custom names and the sheet is protected, the custom names can not be modified(or deleted) in MS Excel after exporting from SpreadJS unless the sheet is unprotected in MS Excel. Also,

it is important to note that you can only modify custom names in the name manager if the active sheet is not protected. There is no specific option to create read-only custom names. It depends on whether the sheet is protected or not.

Please let us know if you still face any issues.

    Regards,

    Avinash
