Any plans to support Threaded Comments? If I have an xlsx file with new style of threaded comments, SpreadJS renders it poorly.

Another possible solution: is it possible to for a developer to add custom Threaded Comments code to render them?

    Hi,

The threaded comments are not yet supported in SpreadJS. However, the feature is already in our product backlog, and the current ETA is SpreadJS Version 19.

    Internal Tracking ID: SJS-6

Furthermore, the developers can customize the comments view as per their requirements. Please refer to the attached sample below that demonstrates how to customize a comment in SpreadJS.

You can also refer to the SpreadJS Comments API that illustrates how to customize a comment in SpreadJS.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Chirag Gupta

    Hi,

Threaded comments are now supported in SpreadJS starting with version 19. Please upgrade to the latest V19 release to ensure Excel-style threaded comments display correctly.

You may refer to this demo for threaded comments: https://developer.mescius.com/spreadjs/demos/features/cells/threaded-comments/threaded-comments-overview/purejs

The latest version of SpreadJS can be downloaded from: https://cdn.mescius.com/spreadjs/19.0.0/SpreadJS.Release.19.0.0.zip

Hi there, I get this message when I export a SpreadJS file with threaded comments and then re-upload that same file to spreadJS

“Your version of Excel allows you to read this threaded comment, however, any edits to it…”

The threaded comment shows up fine when I open the file in Excel, just when I re-upload to SpreadJS I get the above issue

    Hi,

We tried to reproduce the behavior on our end using the available information, but we were not able to replicate the issue. Everything is working as expected here. We verified the behavior in both SpreadJS and the Designer component, and it works correctly in both cases. Please refer to the attached GIF and these demos for comparison:

Could you please check the above samples on your side? If the issue does not occur there, it may be specific to your application.

To help us investigate further, could you share a minimal working sample along with clear steps to reproduce the behavior, or modify one of the above demo samples to demonstrate the issue? Additionally, a GIF or video showing the problem would also be very helpful. Additionally, please let us know the exact SpreadJS version in which you are encountering this issue.
