  Hi,

  When few special characters such as ?,',\ etc are included in formulas, additional values are being added and it continues adding even when we click on backspace.

  Repro steps:

  1. Start entering any formula in any cell
  2. Type special character such as ?
  3. Notice that apart from ?, you see some additional text getting added
  4. Try hitting backspace, you will still see some additional text getting added

  May I know what formula you are entering when you see the issue for an extra character being added automatically? It will be great if you could provide me the steps with the online demo:

  Hi Deepak,

  Although I can understand that these special characters should be used for certain formulas only, but we cant restrict a customer to type in these special characters while typing a formula and sometimes it can happen by mistake too.

  And interesting thing is we don’t have this issue in spread V9, this happens only in spread v11.

  You can actually try the steps that I have mentioned in the 1st post of my thread in the link: https://www.grapecity.com/en/demos/spread/JS/InspectorSample/.

  to be clear let me explain them again:

  1. select any cell
  2. type in =123
  3. now type in speacil character (say, ?)

  now you will notice that text in cell becomes =12323?, and now start pressing “backspace” in your key board, you will start seeing above scenario repeats and text grows instead of deleting.

  Please let me know if any further clarity is needed.

  I am able to replicate this issue at my end. I have reported it to the development team.
  
  The bug id for this issue is #254513. I will let you know as soon as I get an update on this.
