Percentage formatted cell not retaining "%" while editing the existed value

    Hi,

I’ve a cell with percentage number format. On edit mode of this cell, control not retaining “%” symbol at the end of value like MS Excel do. Because of this if I enter 3 in the cell then it will become 300%. I had to enter “%” explicitly to get the same value what I entered.

    Thanks.

    Any update on this?

    Hello,

This issue has already been fixed wherein in next build we will be having a property - GcSpreadSheet.UseFormatterForEditing, if this property is true, the cell’s editing text will be same as displaying text, and thus it will meet your requirement.

We are in process of testing. And the build which fixes the issue will be out in next release. Will update you once the build will be out.

    Thanks,

    Reeva

    Hi,

    We also require this feature.

It will be helpful if you can provide release date for this.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Reeva,

Is this fixed in V9 version?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

No, this issue isn’t fixed in V9. And unfortunately, as of now we don’t have any ETA for the same.

Tracking id for this issue is #119751

    Hi Reeva,

I had the same issue with % formatter. Has this function been implemented? We are currently o 9.40.

If not, is there any recommended workaround? Surely without this, the % formatter is completely useless on any cells that are editable.

    Regards,

    Willson

    Hello,

Unfortunately, we don’t have exact ETA for the same but our developers are working on the same and they might include it in Version 10 of Spread and also we don’t have any workaround for the same as of now.

We will update you once it will be incorporated.

    We regret the inconvenience.

    Thanks,

    Reeva

For anyone else who may be facing the same issue. The workaround until the UseFormatterForEditing is released is to implement a CustomCellType and you can then use the setEditorValue to make sure the edit mode text is formatted exactly the way you want it (in this case * 100 and then append %).

    Hello,

    Thanks for sharing the workaround.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Do you have any status or ETA for this issue? It’s going to be done?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Unfortunately, we don’t have any ETA for the same as of now. Our developers are working on it but they haven’t specified the ETA for the same.

We have asked for update on the same and will notify you as soon as we hear anything from them.

    Thanks,
