Hello Dear Grapecity team!
I have some issues when I use Grapecity Spread JS Designer component. Can You help me, please:
1)Data is missing after merging cells if the top or left cell is empty (attached images)
2)Only the top cell is scaled when resizing text in several cells in the same column at the same time.

Hello,
As I can understand, you don’t want the merged cell to be empty when there is a value in the cell range selection before merging. For this use case, you can create a custom command which merges the selected cells and keeps the value even if the first cell in selection is empty. You can register a custom command with command manager using commandManager.register() method.
You can use GC.Spread.Sheets.Designer.getCommand(“mergeCells”) method to get the command(option) “Merge Cells” in “Merge & Center” dropdown of the ribbon and override “mergeCells” command’s execute() method to execute your custom command for merging cells.
let commandManager = spread.commandManager();
commandManager.register(“customMergeCells”, mergeCellsCommand);
let config = GC.Spread.Sheets.Designer.DefaultConfig;
let designerMergeCommand = GC.Spread.Sheets.Designer.getCommand(“mergeCells”);
// overrides the execute method of default command to execute custom command
designerMergeCommand.execute = function () {
commandManager.execute({ cmd: “customMergeCells” });
};
// adds modified command to command map
config.commandMap = {
mergeCells: designerMergeCommand
};
designer.setConfig(config);

We were not able to replicate the issue you are facing. We tried to replicate the issue by resizing the font size of a cell range. We have attached a gif. Please let us know if we are missing some steps so that we can help you accordingly.

In the b case (Only the top cell is scaled when resizing text in several cells in the same column at the same time.) I want to ask like this:
We edited autofit command (again with your help ))) ). Then after using new autofit we have that issue. I will attach video. (https://www.grapecity.com/forums/spreadjs/control-cell-height-with-ribbonn)

Hello,
In the previous sample, “rows” argument of the “autoFit” command was only having on row(active cell row). That is why only one row, which has active cell, was getting auto Fit.
You can auto Fit all the rows of a column by getting the selections from the worksheet using sheet.getSelections() method and then auto fit them accordingly.
Please refer to this updated sample which demonstrates the same. Similarly, you can auto fit the columns using autoFitColumn command.
