HYPERLINK function does nothing?

    The release notes for SpreadJS mentions that HYPERLINK function support was added. SpreadJS does recognize HYPERLINK as a built-in function, but it doesn’t appear to do anything. For example, enter the following into a cell:

    =HYPERLINK(“http://www.grapecity.com”, “Grape City”)

    That cell will show the text “Grape City” but it will not be styled as and will not act like a hyperlink when clicked.

    Is this a defect or a known issue, or was it simply added to prevent those cells from showing errors when imported from Excel?

    Our developers have confirmed that it is not supported as of now, and is already in the product backlog but we don’t have any ETA for the same.

    Hi Reeva,

    Is there a way for me to extend a method and write our own implementation of the hyperlink as a workaround until, the fix for this is released?

    You could use HyperLink CellType to display links into the workbook. Please refer to the following sample demonstrating the same:
