ESC keypress is not consistent, eg. Filter dialog doesn't dismiss on ESC

    Good morning/afternoon.

I’ve been working on a spreadsheet instance which contains a bunch of filters applied on load and I’ve been asked to solve a couple of inconsistencies using the keyboard:

1- Opening up a filter dialog box (clicking on the small arrow within a cell) and pressing ESC doesn’t close automatically the filter dialog.

2 - Selecting a list of cell, then moving the cursor to the small dot at the right bottom edge and start dragging the selection, then pressing ESC doesn’t abandon the move.

The user expected behaviour of the ESC key event is actually the same that you get from opening a context menu within a cell, which is: make disappear the context menu.

Please do let me know if the 2 scenarios are clear.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Davide,

1). We are able to replicate the issue at our end and hence we have forwarded it to the concerned team for further investigation of the issue. The internal tracking ID for the issue is SJS-1953. We will let you know about any updates regarding the same.

2). This behavior is by design which is the same as in MS Excel.

    Regards

    Sharad
