  Data validation fails when the data entered in the cell is DD-MM-YYYY format. We are trying to implement the feature where in when the data is put in DD-MM-YYYY format it should be validated .
  
  Is it possible ? Are there any API or event which can use used to pre-process the date to standard format if needed before being passed to data validator ., Since normal cell event don’t get triggered for data validator cell.

  Hi,

  Based on my understanding, you want to preprocess the date entry before it is validated using data validation.

  You can use the EditEnding event to handle this preprocessing. With this event, you can process the value before data validation, and if you decide to prevent the entry, you can use cancel to stop the value from being saved. Please refer to the attached gif “Steps.gif” and sample below.
