  Hello, when I import an excel file that has Custom Names defined, the comments are lost.

  I have three custom names defined in an excel file:
  
  

  … in excel a tooltip with the comment is being displayed:
  
  

  … when I upload the the excel into your online demo of SpreadJS, comments are gone and a generic one is shown:
  
  

  I attached the excel file, so you can try for yourself.

  If there anyway to keep the comments?

  Hello,

  I am able to replicate this issue and hence submitted it as a bug to the development team. I will let you know as soon as I get an update on this.

  Hello,

  Custom name comments is not supported with SpreadJS v10.0. However our new version of SpreadJS i.e. v11.0 has the feature buit in.
