Conditional formatting overrides copying of format

If you have a cell with conditional formatting rules set to it, and you copy and paste the formatting of a different cell on top of it, it retains the formatting as was defined by the conditional formatting rules.

Excel works in a different way. When you copy and “paste formatting” onto a cell it removes the cell conditional formatting rules and the new formatting takes place.

Is this a bug or a deliberate behavior of SpreadJS?

    Hi,

We are able to replicate the issue at our end and hence we have forwarded it to the concerned team for further investigation of the issue. Internal tracking Id for the case is SJS-2314. We will let you know about any updates regarding the same.

    Hi,

Dev team has found that we currently don’t support this behavior and making changes to this might cause some breaking changes. So the team has decided to keep the current behavior and suggested to clear the conditional formatting during copy/paste to get the excel-like behavior.

    Regards
