License Not Found when opening Form Designer

    I am in the process of updating existing projects from .NET 4.8 and Spread v17 —> .NET 8.0 and Spread v19

    My application runs just fine with all functionality. But when I try to open the Visual Studio Designer with an existing Form with Spread controls I get an error that the license is not found. When I click “Run License Manager” it just pops up again with “You must build the project”.

    I’ve already built the project and it debugs fine, except for this Forms Designer.

    SA3-License Manager shows that my v19 Spread license is valid and active.

    Hello Josiah,

    When you build a project with Spread.NET v19 and have a valid license activated in the sa3client utility, an .sa3licx license file is automatically generated and added to the project to validate the controls.

    However, to troubleshoot this designer licensing issue, please try generating a runtime license and adding it to your project as an embedded resource, following the steps outlined in our documentation: https://developer.mescius.com/spreadnet/docs/latest/online-win/overview/PowerTools_Help19/spwin-product-install/spwin-createruntimelicense

    If the issue persists, please share the following details for further investigation:

    1. A screenshot of the exact error you are seeing on your end.

    I generated the .sa3licx file and added as embedded resource. I also found that the App.config for my application was still referencing .NET 4.8. Even with both of those changes it did not fix the problem.
