  Hi Experts,

  I am using spread 6.0 in mfc vc++ application( Visual Studio 2010 Professional).

  But as soon as I include the active x control named Farpoint Spread 6.0(OLEDB) in the dialog, if I run the application, dialog won’t appear and application is exiting automatically. If I remove the same control, the dialog run smoothly.

  Can anybody help me to resolve the same issue?

  Hi Vikas,

  I would like you to know that the support for Spread COM below version 8.0 has been officially withdrawn. We do not support these controls anymore. I would suggest you to upgrade to Spread 8.0 instead.

  I’ve seen ActiveX controls cause unexpected application exits in older Visual Studio projects, especially when there are compatibility or registration issues. I’d check whether the Farpoint Spread 6.0 control is properly registered and compatible with the project’s runtime settings, and then inspect the debugger’s exception details. I hope you can get it working soon—and perhaps take a quick break with Basketball Random afterward!
