File contains corrupted data

  I am getting File contains corrupted data exception when load GcWordDocument. My word document is Word 97-2003 Document format.
  
  GcWordDocument doc = new GcWordDocument()
  
  doc.Load(fileName); → throws exception

  This only happens to Word 97-2003 Document format. If I save this document as *.docx, there are no exceptions. Does this mean that GcWordDocument does not support files saved as Word 97-2003 Document format?
