Scrolling using mouse wheel in firefox is awful slow. Works well in all other browsers (Chrome, Edge and IE 11)

    firefox version: 59.0.2 (32-bit)

i reproduced same slownrdd on your intro demo - definitely not my code.

    Hello,

The developer mentioned that the most of the Firefox scrolling issues are caused by it’s default settings. It is suggested to check:

Let me know in case this does not help you.

    Thanks,

I don’t think that is correct. I mean sure i could go and change my mouse scroll multiplier but it screws up all scrolling everywhere.

    It definitely is a Spread.Views bug/problem.

    Here is why:

    In firefox:

    • Spread.Sheets; scrolling wheel works as expected (well you scroll per row so not exactly similar)
    • Just a plain HTML list with scroll bar; scrolling wheel works as expected
    • Our own code for a visualized lists (which is what spread.views really is), scroll wheel works fine
    • Spread.Views; scroll wheel is awful slow!! barely 3px per scroll bar tick

This really needs to be investigated; cant exactly have users change their default scroll multipliers just when they use Spread.Views

    Ohh to expand on that.

In your views implementation, your virtualized viewport is kept in sync with the viewport-scroll-vertical div(this is what renders the scroll bar).

if you mouse over the scroll bar and scroll, it works just fine; default speed etc

if you mouse over the viewport (rows) and scroll, the scroll speed is awful.
