    Hi VJ,

You can use Spread COM in your VB6 Applications.

    Spread COM: https://www.grapecity.com/spreadcom

    Documentation : https://help.grapecity.com/spread/Spread8/WebSiteHelp/webframe.html

Please note that Spread COM is in maintenance mode and no active development is being done.

For any license/purchase related queries you can contact our sales team at us.sales@grapecity.com.

Thanks Avnish, I just confirmed with my team that they are using FarPoint Spread 3.0 and FarPoint ListPro Controls 2.1 in their VB6 application (legacy application) but both are 32 bit versions. Are these controls available in 64 bit? Tq

    Hi VJ,

The controls you mentioned are very old controls and are not available in 64bit. Although, You can use Spread COM i.e version 8.0 has 32-bit OCX and 64/32 bit DLLs.

You can create 64-bit applications with Spread 8 64 bit DLL.

The ListPro control is very old and is no longer maintained.

You can also refer to the following link for info on old Farpoint Controls : https://www.grapecity.com/blogs/what-happened-to-farpoint-spread

    Hi Avnish,

Unfortunately we need those ListPro controls as well.

Okey, what we did now is, we managed to register the old 32 bit OCX in our new server and managed to include all the controls (32 bit) in our project now but we are hitting this below error though we copied the license file in windows folder, please advise us where we are making the error, thanks

    License Agreement Error

File FPLICENSE.TXT not found. License Agreement can not be completed.

Hi - I am also facing the same issue where I am trying to upgrade an old VB application that uses the very old FarPoint OCX controls. Are they still available for purchase?

  • Posted 13 February 2023, 3:44 pm EST

    Hello,

The SpreadCOM controls are in maintenance mode for a very long time and are out of support now.

The last version of Spread COM controls, which you can use in your VB6 Applications can be downloaded from the given link:

    https://www.grapecity.com/spreadcom

As SpreadCOM controls are in maintenance mode so we would suggest you migrate to Spread.NET for continued support.

I’m likewise confronting a similar issue where I’m attempting to update an old VB application that utilizes the exceptionally old FarPoint OCX controls. Is it true that they are as yet accessible for procurement.
