  I am looking to upgrade to a new version of Visual Studio, but I need to know if I will also need a new version of ComponentOne WinForms Edition. I currently have v2023.1

  Is v2023.1 supported on either Visual Studio 2022 or 2026? Also, how much longer will support for v2023.1 last?

  Hi John,

  When 2023v1 was released, the latest available version of Visual Studio was 2022. Therefore, those controls were thoroughly tested with Visual Studio 2022 and are fully supported with that version.

  However, Visual Studio 2026 was released recently, and the older 2023v1 builds were not tested with it. Ideally, they should work with Visual Studio 2026, but we cannot guarantee compatibility since we do not validate older builds against newly released versions of Visual Studio.

  Regarding support, all new features, improvements, and bug fixes are implemented in the latest releases. For example, if a bug was reported or an enhancement was requested in 2023v1, it would typically be addressed in a subsequent release such as 2023v2 or 2023v3. That said, we continue to provide technical support for all versions, including 2023v1.
