See some highlights of the release below.
Uno Platform Support
With the 2024 v2.2 update, ComponentOne MAUI controls (version 8.0.20242.1023) are now fully compatible with the Uno Platform for .NET 8+! This compatibility opens up new possibilities for developers looking to create powerful and versatile cross-platform mobile applications by embedding our FlexGrid and FlexChart controls for .NET MAUI.
You can get started by following the Uno Platform team’s documentation for MAUI embedding, or stay tuned for future blog topics from our team.
Improved Ribbon UI Automation Support
In the official 2024 v2 release, we enhanced our WinForms C1Ribbon control to fully comply with the latest UI Automation (UIA) tools such as Microsoft Accessibility Insights. In this update, we further enhanced UI Automation support in C1Ribbon. The following buttons and pop-ups now support UIA:
- Group Launcher button
- Qat (quick access toolbar) Group button
- Ribbon Group pop-up form
This further helps screen readers and automation tools better understand the Ribbon UI components at runtime and provide users with insight.
New Windows Demo Explorer
You may also notice that we’ve improved the look and feel of our desktop Windows Demo Explorer. This application is typically used to evaluate features for our WinForms and WPF controls, but you can still use it to discover more built-in features and controls included with ComponentOne.
Download and test drive the latest Demo Explorer yourself.
Stay tuned for our next major release in June 2025!
