What’s New in Document Solutions v9.1
Pittsburgh, PA – May 05th, 2026 MESCIUS USA Inc., a global provider of award-winning enterprise software development tools, is pleased to announce the Document Solutions v9.1 release. This release expands the Document Solutions ecosystem with new JavaScript PDF processing capabilities while also enhancing interactive forms, accessible document export, and viewer-side data analysis across the existing product family.
One of the biggest highlights of the v9.1 release is the introduction of Document Solutions for PDF JS, a new JavaScript PDF API that brings core PDF document processing capabilities to JavaScript developers. With Document Solutions for PDF JS, developers can create, load, edit, secure, optimize, and extract content from PDF documents using a JavaScript-first programming model, expanding the Document Solutions product line further into the JavaScript ecosystem. As the main highlight of the v9.1 release, Document Solutions for PDF JS opens the door for JavaScript developers to build modern PDF solutions for browser and server-side scenarios using the same Document Solutions approach to document APIs. Document Solutions for Word improves PDF export by adding support for structure tags, making it easier to generate tagged PDFs with better accessibility and navigation support. Previous versions wrapped paragraphs with only basic paragraph tagging, while this update adds richer structural information, similar to Microsoft Word’s PDF export, including heading recognition, image alternative text, and hyperlink screen tips. With this enhancement, Document Solutions for Word can more easily participate in workflows targeting PDF/A or PDF/UA compliance, provided the source document is prepared correctly. Document Solutions DataViewer v9.1 adds support for interacting with pivot tables, giving users more control over pivot-based reports directly in the viewer. With this enhancement, users can interact with pivot tables more dynamically by filtering, sorting, using slicers, and changing the layout without leaving the viewing experience. With support for pivot table interaction, Document Solutions DataViewer v9.1 makes it easier for users to explore and adjust pivot table-based reports directly in the viewer, bringing a more interactive spreadsheet analysis experience to web-based document viewing. “Version 9.1 represents a major step forward for Document Solutions, led by the launch of Document Solutions for PDF JS, our new JavaScript PDF document API library, and reinforced by meaningful enhancements across our Excel, PDF, Word, and data viewer libraries,” said Product Manager Hunter Haaf. “With this release, we’re giving developers more ways to create, edit, secure, optimize, and analyze documents across modern application stacks, while also improving accessibility, interoperability, and end-user interaction. From interactive pivot table analysis in Document Solutions DataViewer to richer Excel and Word automation, v9.1 reflects our continued focus on helping teams build more modern, capable, and connected document solutions across platforms.”
