GrapeCity Developer Solutions Releases Wijmo 2021 v1

The highlights of Wijmo v1 include a new RestCollectionView, Cell Templates for MultiRow, and Beta for FlexMap – a visualization map control. Wijmo v1 is now available as an upgrade for existing customers and a download for new customers at GrapeCity.com.
The Wijmo team is pleased to announce that FlexMap, a beautiful new map control for visualizing geographic data, is now available in Beta. This JavaScript UI component enables users to create stunning visualizations with geodata. FlexMap supports rendering choropleths and point maps, such as scatter and bubble. The map uses GeoJSON for binding geographical feature layers and point layers. To provide feedback on this control, visit the GrapeCity website.
Since many Wijmo customers have a REST API for managing data, the team made a convenient base class that extends and makes a bindable CollectionView that connects to the customers' REST API. With the base class, users can bind any number of components to the RestCollectionView and communicate them entirely to the server. Using it is as simple as creating a class that extends the RestCollectionView and overrides the following methods: getItems, addItem, patchItem, and deleteItem. From there, Wijmo does the rest – bind custom RestCollectionView to any Wijmo control, and it will automatically make calls to the server for different CRUD operations. One of the most popular FlexGrid features when working in Angular, React, or Vue, Cell Templates, allows users to use markup to define custom content in cells. Now, this feature is available in MultiRow – add custom cell templates for any cell. Cell Templates support binding syntax, nested components, custom HTML, and conditional logic and offer a straightforward and declarative way of customizing the grid.
