GrapeCity Developer Solutions Releases ComponentOne 2019 v3 Software
Pittsburgh, PA – November 22nd, 2019 GrapeCity, a global provider of award-winning enterprise software development tools, is pleased to announce the release of ComponentOne 2019 v3. The highlights of this release include exciting new features for the .NET UI toolkit, such as Beta testing for Blazor controls, .NET Core 3.0 support for the entire ComponentOne Winforms Edition studio, Ribbon updates, and enhancements for WinForms, ASP. NET, and WPF.
With the official launch of ComponentOne Blazor Edition (Beta), developers can round out server and client-side C# web apps with FlexGrid, our best cross-platform data grid, and several other input controls. To get access to this set of native UI controls built for Blazor, download them here. By providing an e-mail address during the install, users will be signed up for the Beta program. The Beta program ensures that developers will get up-to-date information from the GrapeCity team including release dates and possible discounts for the Blazor Edition.
The new C1Ribbon control for WinForms has been completely re-designed and is based on UI concepts of Office 365. The old Ribbon will continue to be maintained and is now displayed as “classic” in the Visual Studio toolbox. With the new Ribbon, developers can enjoy a new simplified view when the Ribbon is collapsed, over twenty embedded controls, a backstage view, status bar component and more. In addition to the C1Ribbon control, FlexGrid has updated row details, FlexPivot now supports displaying KPI information, and FlexChart has a runtime designer, which enables the end-user to make changes to the chart.
ASP. NET Core MVC includes an AutoFill feature for FlexSheet. Users can fill selected cells based on patterns, exactly like in Excel. Developers will also find that FlexChart now supports Step, StepSymbol, and StepArea charts. These charts are useful to display any type that has changes at irregular intervals of time, such as interest rates vs. time. Other additions include needles for radial gauges and .NET Core 3.0 support.
“Like any great ComponentOne update, we can address existing and new technologies. We are excited to start providing native controls for Blazor,” said Greg Lutz, ComponentOne Product Manager. “By introducing a Blazor Edition, we keep ComponentOne up to date, as the go-to .NET Control Suite by targeting every version of the .NET UI. This release also expands our level of support for .NET Core 3.0 across every platform. And for developers who are using proven technologies, we continue to provide more features that add functionality to your desktop and web apps.”
