  Good morning/afternoon

  I was wondering if it could be possible to set up an array of colours to be used by the highlighting system for cells referred within a formula.

  If not possible, where do I find the list of default colours? I would like to create references between formulas and UI components outside the SpreadJS instance.

  Hi Davide,

  Currently, the following list is used as the default colors for highlighting cell references:
  
  [‘#0000ff’, ‘#008000’, ‘#9900cc’, ‘#800000’, ‘#00cc33’, ‘#cc6600’, ‘#cc0099’]
  
  Further, we have forwarded this case to the dev team to confirm if SpreadJS supports custom highlight color and will give you an update soon. Internal tracking ID for the issue is SJS-1382.

  Hi Davide,

  Dev team has confirmed that currently, it is not possible to specify custom highlight colors for the cell references. However, the team is interested in your use case, could you please explain some more your use case so that we could have a better understanding of the requirement.

  I’ve created a component which shows on selection of a cell/multiple cells the value of the formula e.g.

  
  =F2+B19
  
  

  plus, it extract the cell names e.g. F2 and B19… retrieve the coordinates and displays:
  
  cell value of each cell and the column/row header

  Basically it’s a small components that breaks down the formula and displays in a more readable way how the calculation of a certain value is done.

  For UX purpose I do highlight within this component each cellName with the colours that appear when the user clicks on the specific cell, that’s why I would like to change the colours to make the component a bit more in-line with the brand.

  Hi Davide,

  The Dev team was reviewing this case and would like to confirm one thing that if you need to change the default range highlight color palette or if this is related to a specific cell when they click on it (i.e. A1 would have different colors for its references than A2)?
