This function uses binomial distribution to calculate the probability of a trial result.
BINOM.DIST.RANGE(N,p,s,s2)
This function has the following arguments:
Argument | Description |
---|---|
N | Refers to the number representing the number of independent trials. If this value is not an integer, the number is truncated. |
p | Refers to the probability of success on each trial. The value of this number must lie between 0 and 1 |
s | Refers to the number representing the number of successes in trials. If this value is not an integer, the number is truncated. |
s2 | [Optional] Refers to the probability that number of successful trials will fall between s and s2. This value must be greater than or equal to s and less than or equal to N. |
All the numeric arguments in this function will be truncated to integers.
If the arguments passed are not numeric values or the values do not lie within the constraints, this function will return an error.
Accepts numeric data for all arguments. Returns numeric data.
BINOM.DIST.RANGE(50,0.35,28) gives the result 0.00116
BINOM.DIST.RANGE(30,0.25,15,25) gives the result 0.00274
