Hi C1,
the new HoverMode feature of C1FlexGrid sounds interesting. Would it be possible to introduce a “HoverMode.RowColumn”, that is a combination of “Row” and “Column”?
We have a rather large grid where it might be helpful to see which person (=row) and date (=col) the cell under the mouse belongs to.

Hi Wolfgang,
The development team is currently discussing and researching over adding this feature. They have asked if you can provide a screenshot from the grid used in your real application, showing how this new option will benefit the users. It will help the product team in taking a better decision.
As per the scenario you shared originally, our understanding is that your users work on single cells and they need to know which col and row the current cell containing the mouse pointer belongs to. Is this correct? Let us know if you would like to add something to this.

The grid where we consider it helpful is a window used for a personnel schedule: persons are rendered in rows, dates in colums. As the grid can become very large, the hovermode “rowcol” might help users to see which date/person is below the mouse before clicking the cell.
We are not sure whether it has the expected effect, but the current HoverMode options are not useful at all in this grid.
It is up to your devs to decide whether my request is reasonable for them.

The development team has considered this as an enhancement request and added it to their backlog. Currently, there is no ETA for the same but will we let you know as soon as we have an update.
