Spread for WinForms: Smarter Design-Time and Enhanced Interactivity

In this update, Spread for WinForms receives a major boost in design-time productivity and runtime customization. Developers can now enjoy enhanced RibbonBar configuration with expanded icon visibility and new layout options for the collapsed state—making form design more intuitive and streamlined. To improve data association and processing, a new IRange.Tag property has been introduced, enabling the attachment of custom metadata to cells, rows, and columns—without interfering with the existing Tag property. Additionally, new API hooks for handling user interactions such as cell clicks, double-clicks, selection changes, and sheet activation events give developers deeper control over workbook behavior. Compatibility improvements also ensure a smoother upgrade path to version 18 by reducing field redefinition conflicts.

Spread for WPF: Refined UI Behavior and Developer Control

Spread for WPF continues to evolve with smarter UI performance and the same powerful interactivity features introduced in WinForms. This version optimizes chart tooltip logic to eliminate flickering during rapid mouse movements, delivering a smoother end-user experience. Like WinForms, WPF developers now have access to the IRange.Tag feature for custom data tagging, and a new suite of APIs to handle user-driven events at the worksheet and workbook level—streamlining development of dynamic, responsive spreadsheet-based interfaces.
