  Maybe the below CSS works for your case…

  The CSS text-overflow property provides the behaviour you want as long as you are working with a single line of text (i.e. no text wrapping). Example changing your Jsfiddle CSS to forcefully override the wj.cell class:

  
   .wj-flexgrid {
    max-height: 400px; 
    margin-top:10px;
   }
   .wj-cell {
    white-space: nowrap !important;
    overflow: hidden !important;
    text-overflow: ellipsis !important;
   }
  
  

  The single-line contraint is a CSS contraint: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/text-overflow. For multi-line wrapped text, you will need to do some other magic

  Hi,

  Sorry, but I was unable to replicate this issue. I tried to replicate the issue with different sizes of the grid and resizing the columns but the ellipsis (…) is not displayed in the sample link. Moreover, if you have set wordWrap to true, then the text-overflow CSS property is set to clip due to which an ellipsis will never be displayed.

  But, if your requirement is to display the ellipsis with word-wrap, which was the requirement in 261359, then this will not be possible because HTML does not allow it. Therefore, this enhancement will be added to the FlexGrid. The ellipsis character is only displayed with a single line as said by stephen in the previous reply.

  If you have some requirements, then please let us know.
