    Hi all,

I would like to open a discussion about non-breaking spaces instead of regular spaces after copy/paste from spreadJS to another excel. We noticed that string with non-breaking space representation may cause possible problems if manipulating with them inside excel. Non-breaking spaces are represented in ASCII with code 160 and regular spaces with 32. Is it spreadJS internal issue or is there some way to keep regular spaces after copy/paste from spreadJS instead of non-breaking?

We are able to replciate the issue at our end hence we have escalated this issue to the concerned team for further investigation. We will update you regarding this as we get any information from the team. The internal Id for this issue will be SJS-13988.

    Hello,

This is a limitation of SpreadJS when setting allowCopyPasteExcelStyle to true. When this is set to true, “normal” spaces are converted into HTML spaces (& nbsp; without space between & and n). The best workaround would be to set allowCopyPasteExcelStyle to false when non-breaking spaces are not desired.

    Best,
