    Hi,

    I had to do a maintenance in an old project that uses TDBGrid 8.

    I had switched PCs to a new one with W11Pro, installed VB6 + C1Studio Active X 20202.1.1.

    Everything is working however I can not use C1 True DBGridPro 8: it is not available in components list.

    I have registered all c1 components in C:\windows\syswow64, but even if I try to add the component to the list (todg8.ocx or tdbg8.ocx) I got a “Component not correctly registered” error.

    You can see on the image that both TrueDBGrid 8 versions are not available, and the error when I try to browse and select the component.

    I already did a repair of the C1 install, no result.

    Any suggestion?

    TIA,

    Carlos

    Hi, I share with you the same problem and the mescius’s support cannot help me.

    I think the problem was in the newest installer and licensing method.

    Anyway, I found some steps to achieve the result (I suppose you start with the installation of the latest release C1Studio Active X and also you have an older C1 True DBGridPro 8; for me was the 2010 release):

    1. after you installed the latest C1Studio Active X, you need to copy the files TDBG8.ocx and tdbgpp8.dll (you found it in SYSWOW64); in my case was both dated in year 2017;
    2. then disinstall C1Studio Active X 20202.1.1 and restart the PC;
    3. next, you must install the older ActiveX (I used the 2010 release) and everything running fine (you see in the components list the old TDBG8 2010);
    4. close VB6 and copy the previous saved newest TDBG8.ocx and tdbgpp8.dll over the older directly in SYSWOW64 (confirm overwrite);
    5. now, if you come back in VB6 you see the True DBGridPro and when you use it you must simply insert the new keycode for activation and all is running fine.

    That’s all.
