  When changing the language of a report, the report designer (Windows) will create Localization Resources inside the report, for the chosen language. This doesn’t work in web designer, although I can change the report language, this setting has no effect, and will overwrite the default values.

  Reporduce:

  1. Create a report with a text field and name it “Hello” (Language: Default)
  2. Change the report language to French-France and change the text to “Bonjour”
  3. Switch back to “Default”, you will see “Hello” and vice versa.

  In Report web-designer:
  
  4. Change the report language to French-France and change the text to “Au revoir” and save the report.
  
  5. Open the report in French-France, the Text remains “Bonjour” but now the default Value is “Au revoir”.

  This is a bug. The web designer should behave as the windows designer does. When a language in the report is chosen, I only should edit the localization values of the chosen language

  Thanks for pointing this out. We could replicate this issue in v18.2 as well and have escalated the same to our development team [Internal tracking ID: AR-34526]. We will get back to you as soon as we receive any updates from their side.
