GrapeCity Developer Solutions Releases ComponentOne 2020 v1
Pittsburgh, PA – May 22nd, 2020 GrapeCity, a global provider of award-winning enterprise software development tools, is pleased to announce the release of ComponentOne 2020 v1, the first major software release of the year. The highlights of this release include powerful new .NET Standard components, as well as web advancements with new Blazor UI controls, ASP. NET MVC enhancements, and a new visitor web API. Additionally, there are improvements to WinForms and WPF controls.
The 2020 v1 release offers the first version of ComponentOne's new data connectivity library, which performs any data operation against a variety of supported data sources. Developers can use the library's two unique offerings, the Data Connectors and the Data Engine, to connect to and merge data from disparate data sources, perform fast data analysis in memory, and query against millions of records in seconds. Additionally, developers will find that the ComponentOne Blazor edition is production-ready and adds a new filter row feature for FlexGrid. In ASP. NET Core and MVC Edition, the new File Manager UI control integrates with ComponentOne's current cloud storage API to provide the interface for CRUD operations over files. With the control's intuitive UI, developers can list, search, move, upload, delete, and download files through menus quickly. In addition to the new File Manager UI, this release includes a new grid perspective using TransposedGrid, enhancements for FlexGrid, and many more additions for ASP. NET Core and MVC editions. In regard to web API enhancements, the ComponentOne team created a new web visitor API. The .NET Core Visitor Web API collects user data such as IP address, geographical location, language, referring site, and much more. This new feature is useful for developers interested in customizing content for individual users. To learn more about the additional updates for ASP. NET Core and MVC editions, web API, Xamarin, and WinForms editions, visit the ComponentOne blog.
"As more and more companies move to the cloud for their data access strategies, having new ways to connect, integrate, manage, and display data in our apps is increasingly important," said Product Manager, Greg Lutz. "This release focuses on these in-demand data features and helps developers do more in less time." For all the details on the newest releases, visit the GrapeCity blog.
