After you login to your Mescius account, you can find your licenses and create distribution keys on your My Licenses page:
https://developer.mescius.com/my-account/my-licenses#distribution
Once here, you will notice that the page is broken up into different sections. You’ll see an area to register your serial key:
There is the Developer License section. Here you will see your license(s) and their details:
Then there is the Distribution Licenses section where you can create the distribution key:
To create a distribution key, under the Distribution Licenses section find the license of your choice and to the right of it under “Actions” click “Create Distribution Key.”
Once clicked, you will be brought to the Create a Distribution Key page. There is some important information on the page regarding key creation so please read through it.
On the page you will find the area to add a hostname and purchase additional hostname buttons:
Click “ADD A HOSTNAME” button. Once clicked, a popup will appear for you to input your desired hostname:
Once added, you should get a success message like this:
Now you need to add the desired hostname(s) to your distribution key. Do this by selecting the check boxes next to their names:
If you do not want to show hostnames in the distribution key, then click the “Hide hostnames within generated key” checkbox. This will open an input box for you to insert the license name.
Once you have selected your hostname(s) and the optional checkbox, then click the “GENERATE DISTRIBUTION KEY” button.
Please note: Distribution keys cannot be re-generated. Once a key has been created and you forgot or want to add another domain, you will have to create a new distribution key.
Once clicked you should see the loading icon appear and then your key should be populated on the screen shortly:
You should also receive an auto generated email from Mescius detailing the distribution key that was just created:
Click the “Copy to Clipboard” button:
And that is it. You have successfully created a distribution key! Good job!
