Can I use C1FlexViewer, C1FlexReport and C1XLBook in a new .NET 5 WPF project if I use the 4.5.2 controls? Can I use both C1 4.5.2 controls and C1 5.0 controls in the same project? Thanks.

    Hi Riley,

    1. Yes, you can use .NET 4.5.2 C1 controls in a .NET 5 WPF project.

    2. We are sorry but it is not possible to use two different versions of the same control in the same project as it will cause conflict because of the similar API.

    I hope it helped.

    Kartik

    Hi Cori,

Yes, you need to have .NET 4.5.2 framework installed on the system while using C1 4.5.2 controls in a .NET 5 project.

I have been couple desktop apps where I have used c1.preview to create a lot of reports. These reports are hard coded and use c1.preview.c1printdocument. Lot of table use in these applications for reports. Worked great for years and will take a lot of work and time to change. What is the replacement for this and if not then is there something else.

    Hi,

You can use C1 Wpf 4.5.2/Net 5/Net 6 latest version controls in Windows 11.

JFYI, Net 5 is an intermediate version between LTS (long term support) versions. So, we recommend updating to .NET 6. For more information you can refer this blog: https://www.grapecity.com/forums/wpf-edition/net-4-and-net-5-support-no

Latest published C1 Wpf control version:

    4.5.2v → 4.5.20221.764

    Net 5 → 5.0.20221.205

    Net 6 → 6.0.20221.222

    Best Regards,

    Nitin
