    Hi C1,

    see attached sample:

    FlexAllowMergingFixed.zip

    Two questions/problems:

    Rendering issue

The combination of “AllowMerging” in my sample seems to cause rendering errors: when scrolling down and up several times, display of the fixed columns gets distorted:

    Merging fixed cols

I want to merge not only adjacent fixed rows, but also adjacent fixed columns:

This does not seem to work when setting “c1FlexGrid.AllowMergingFixed = AllowMergingEnum.FixedOnly”.

Setting “c1FlexGrid.Rows.AllowMerging = true” does not help.

Is this intended to work, or would I have to use custom merging?

    Best regards

    Wolfgang

    Hi Wolfgang,

Thank you for sharing all the details and a sample project. We could see the behaviors you mentioned on our end. We have reported them to the development team to get their insights on it and will let you know the updates as soon as possible.

    Hi Wolfgang,

As per the development team, the behavior of merging fixed columns is by design. If the cells are already merged, then they will not merge any further. In this case, you will need to handle the merging by custom merge. Apologies for any inconvenience caused to you.

    Thanks!

That is a bit sad to hear, but I think the problem is ages old, and I discovered it internally, so I can hopefully simply ignore it ;-).

But the scrolling issue should be looked into. Though it does not seem to happen in our real app (maybe because we use themes in all grids), it does not sound good.

    Best regards

Thanks, I can confirm that the rendering issue is not reproduceable any more.
