GrapeCity ActiveReports Part 9: Silverlight Out of browser support
ActiveReports Script 9 – Silverlight Out of Browser Support
This is the 9th part in a series of ActiveReports Blogs and is a continuation of:
Part 1 Getting StartedPart 2 Run a reportPart 3 Silverlight Viewer ToolbarPart 4 Uploading reports to Silverlight ViewerPart 5 Documentation TipsPart 6 Silverlight Viewer Theme CustomizationPart 7 PDF and Silverlight Printer SupportPart 8 Localization Support
- Active Reports comes with many samples. We will use one of these for this blog. Start Visual Studio and Load up the SilverlightViewerSample Out Of Browser (OOB) project that is installed with ActiveReports
C:\Users\...\Documents\GrapeCity\ActiveReports 6\Samples\CSharp\Professional\SilverlightViewerSample\SilverlightViewerSample(OOB)
Online download can be found here.
- Display the properties for the project and note that the running application out of browser is enabled. Run the app.
- This is a great sample to end this blog series with, as it shows much of what we have discussed. Play with several of the options as review and dive into the code! On the app you should see the following screen.
- To see that this is indeed installed, bring up the control panel Programs and Features and sort by install date and you will see the OOB app at the top.
- Right click on the application and select “Remove this application”.
- Refresh the Control panel and see the OOB app is no longer present because it was uninstalled.
Stay tuned for my exciting summary and some of my thoughts on ActiveReports in the next and final blog in this series. It’s been fun!
