2) Select Factbook: LifeExpectancy and press Connect. This is an XML Data Source.

3) Drag (Attribute) Area and Country to Rows

4) Drag (Attribute) GDP Purchasing Power Parity Category to Columns

5) What we start out with is a pivot table when dragging (Measure) Life Expectancy to Label. Encodings is how you are going to have to look at the data…

6) We can make a graphical view by dragging and dropping Life Expectancy from Encodings to Columns for horizontal bar chart.

7) Drag Life Expectancy from Columns to Rows for Vertical chart
