devLink 2010 Recap

siteHeader

Last Thursday evening, I packed up the booth setup in Redmond and shipped it back to the office. Then I grabbed the red eye to Nashville for the last two days of devLink. John Kellar and crew put together this 3 day “conference” several years ago to give .NET developers all the content and feel of a major conference, without the big price tag and need to take off long amounts of time from work. Nashville is centrally located to a major amount of .NET developers..

I missed not being able to be at the first day for the Keynote with Tim Huckaby. However the sessions and especially the OpenSpace that I did get to attend the next two days was well worth my $100 price tag (plus travel costs) for attending.

With the many different tracks, like Architecture, Development Practices, Platform and Tools, Project Management and Analysis, etc., there was plenty for all to take back from this event. The only problem I had was deciding which session to attend during certain time slots.

I would encourage all in the .NET community to add this event to their radar for next year. I know you would not be disappointed. Have a great day.
