GrapeCity Developer Solutions Releases ActiveReports 14
Pittsburgh, PA – December 19th, 2019 GrapeCity, a global provider of award-winning enterprise software development tools, is pleased to announce the release of ActiveReports 14 and ActiveReportsJS 1.1. With ActiveReports 14, .NET developers can take advantage of .NET Core and .NET Core 3 support, AcroForms and PDF export, a new “WebViewer” control, and more. ActiveReports 14 upgrades developers’ design toolkit for intuitive and dynamic reports for the enterprise and beyond. ActiveReportsJS is a JavaScript version of ActiveReports. With this new release, users receive improved support for the Angular, React, and Vue frameworks, as well as enhancements for fonts and a localization feature for two new locales.
ActiveReports supports the full power and flexibility of the latest .NET Core framework. Now you can create multi-platform web applications and services and run your reports on Windows, MacOS, and Linux with ease. ActiveReports can also be used to create interactive forms utilizing a PDF. By applying the full power of the designer and databinding, developers can publish pre-configured and ready to fill AcroForms. After reviewing customer feedback, there have been several enhancements made to the Web Designer. It’s now possible to increase efficiency with the Private User DataSource and DataSet Definitions features. The additional backend logic allows end-users to create their data source connections and data sets and validate them in the same familiar and intuitive design as before. For additional information, visit our Web Designer documentation.
“With full .NET Core support and no Windows-specific dependencies, new report viewers, new designers, and many other major feature-adds, ActiveReports 14 is a milestone release for the product and GrapeCity,” said Product Manager, Mateen Firoz.
ActiveReportsJS v1.1 includes three new modules for Angular, React, and Vue. The new modules natively expose the ActiveReportsJS Viewer properties and methods, allowing developers to take advantage of the framework features. A few of the features include declarative syntax and template and event binding. With the latest release, developers can add fonts that are not included with ActiveReportsJS. By uploading new fonts to the Designer and Viewer, it’s possible to provide the same experience at design time and run time. Additionally, this version introduces a new localization module. With new locales for China and Japan, it’s easy to choose your locale and localize a project. Explore the localization demo to test the new locales.
“ActiveReportsJS v1.1 will allow report developers to further customize their reports and improve the integration of ActiveReportsJS into Angular, React and Vue applications,” said Product Manager, Troy Taylor.
