TechGate 2011 recap
This past Saturday, GrapeCity Powertools sponsored the TechGate conference in Reston, VA. Unlike most code camps that focus on the many aspects of .NET development, this conference was about software development, as well as cloud computing, management operations and deployment, and career development. We heard from great speakers, like Yung Chou from Microsoft on private cloud computing, Jeff Barr from Amazon.com on programing on Amazon Web Services, and 2008 Speaker Idol Finalist, Rhonda Layfield from RJL, Inc., on deploying Windows 7.
If you live in the Reston, VA area then you have a great leader/servant in Andy Zhang who put this idea together and did a great job. With about 150 attendees, great speakers and even an appearance from PopChips, who was handing out free bags of their delicious never fried/never baked chips this was a top notch conference and I am glad GrapeCity PowerTools could be a part of this event.
There was some murmurs of a great cookbook being given out to some luck people. If you were not one of these lucky ones and you are interested, we do have PDF of the cookbook that is free for download.
