South Florida Code Camp 2011 Sponsorship Recap

A week ago, I traveled to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to attend and exhibit at the 7th annual South Florida Code Camp. GrapeCity Powertools was a Silver sponsor of the event by sponsoring the breakfast served that morning. I arrived at the code camp 30 minutes before registration opened to make sure my booth had arrived and I had time to set it up. Already, the place was a buzz with many volunteers to help with the event. By the time registration opened at 7:30 until right about lunch time, there were many attendees I had a chance to speak with, many of whom were already GrapeCity customers and were spreading the word to others at the event to come see our booth.

Many were not aware of the new Silverlight offerings from GrapeCity in our Active Reports and Active Analysis products. Sharing demos showing off these products was a lot of fun because it brought out many oohs and aahs, but it also showed that GrapeCity is pressing forward with our product lines and not just sitting on the great products we currently provide. Branding of the GrapeCity Powertools name was another major reason for attending. Over the past 17+ years, many people/customers have come to know the FarPoint and Data Dynamics name, product, and support thereof. I wanted to show and tell people that we are the same people, same product, and same level of support in product as everyone has come to know. We are now a much larger company and able to provide a lot more for our customers.
