Recap: Utah Code Camp 2012
Thanks to everyone who attended! And congrats to the organizers for a very, very successful day. At most events, there are fewer attendees than registrants. Today, there were far more attendees than registrants. Every talk was packed, and there was a great selection to choose from. The community and organizers chose topics in across wide range of topics, making the decision of which one to attend very difficult. I had a great time being at our table, talking to everyone about Wijmo, CSS Media Queries, jUICE UI, Silverlight, Win8 Metro and everything else. We had a great turnout for my session, a lot of good questions, and despite the issues with IIS Express, we got to see some easy techniques for using jQuery in an ASP.NET WebForms application. As promised, you can download the code and slides from Rocking Webforms Slides and Code. I presented this session previously as an MSDN Webcast, and you can view that recording at http://c1.ms/2h (just click the Register button, enter your name and click View Recording). If you have a minute, please rate this talk at http://spkr8.com/t/9426--your feedback is important to me. This was my second Utah Code Camp, and like before I had a great time. I posted a few photos on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/GrapeCityUS#!/media/set/?set=a.10150884455833782.529050.131214763781&type=1. Salt Lake City is in a beautiful part of the country, and the community is filled with great people. I had some extra time on Sunday, so a buddy and I went on a photo safari on Antelope Island. I've posrted a couple of photos at https://picasaweb.google.com/101833601039620839134/TravelPhotos, and I'll post more as I look through them. I look forward to coming back again!
