Recap: Pittsburgh Represents at Windows Phone Camp

Yesterday was the second to last stop for the East Region's Windows Phone Camp tour, right here in Pittsburgh. I went as incognito as I possibly could, I haven't had much chance to check out the Mango features since it shipped. Dani and Lindsay did a great job reviewing what was new and how to use the features; I look forward to the code downloads. There were about 30 people in attendance, which is fairly average for a Pittsburgh event. As an indicator of how interested the attendees are in WP7 (and how well Dani and Lindsay did), about 20 or so people stayed for the afternoon hackathon. Kudos to Pittsburgh--we represented will with 16 apps being completed or nearly so, including several XNA games and one that manipulated the Live Tiles. Congrats to all the winners! My contribution was a personal kanban board, for tracking the "honey do" list along different statuses. I used a panorama for the display, and added some better graphics. I plan on finishing the app and submitting it to the Marketplace, but I'll also put the code on GitHub. Subscribe to the RSS feed, friend me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter to see when I get that done.
